As UMass Global, the institution will remain a WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) accredited nonprofit institution. On November 12, 2020 the WSCUC approved the details of the name change and the election of a new Board of Regents.
-
Our partnership with you will remain in effect until the expiration date of the current contract or if we’ve waited to renew, we look forward to renewing the contract under our new name. Our partnership is a core part of who we are and we hope to continue to serve students and meet their needs together.
-
Services for our students, such as ordering transcripts, will remain in place, unchanged." (Brandman University)
A Message from Founder & President William Koehler, M. Ed, TVI, COMS; retired Principal & Superintendent
Teacher shortages in educating students with visual impairments is a long-standing issue made more complicated with changing certification requirements and pending massive retirements. April became my most feared month of the year - who was leaving and where will I ever find a qualified replacement?
Taking The Lead, LLC offers a creative method to address shortages AND will assist in meeting certification requirements!
Custom instruction provided onsite, with sincere respect to limits on teacher time. Online courses exist; yet alternatives are needed.
Personal experience, research and that of anecdotal reports of countless others indicate that face to face/ hands-on instruction is far superior in many ways to impersonal online options; this does not rule out online training, however we add a very effective option that is cost effective and time efficient! Let us help you help your students!
YEAR-ROUND OPERATION
Courses custom scheduled to be responsive
to working teachers' schedules.
What we do best!
We overcome the 3 major barriers:
Time, Tuition, Textbooks
Time: course content can be delivered in various configurations, on site, covering 45 clock hours as required.
Tuition: Course fee (call for current rate) plus text rental. Graduate level credit** $65/credit hour; 3 credit course: $195.
Textbooks: all textbooks can be rented for one nominal cost, so no buying and reselling textbooks-or worse, sitting on a shelf!
Instructors: many of the same, experienced teachers who are also adjunct instructors, already teaching for university programs!
And, we can train your other professional staff with the same university recognized and approved courses!
**Current fee- call for updates
